MUSIC: GOING WILD
There’s something of a buzz around Chicago brother/sister duo Natalie and Elliot Bergman, collectively Wild Belle, and their quirky line of reggae-infused synth-pop. Elliot plays the saxophone, while Natalie sings and looks fantastic – with a style that’s part ‘70s lounge lizard, part Stevie Nicks. Having performed at various fashion week parties, they’re currently in the midst of a US tour. The future looks bright. wildbelle.com

MOVIES: SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL
Robert Redford’s annual independent film festival takes place in Utah this week. Among the movies premiering are jOBS, a biopic of late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, starring Ashton Kutcher and Hollywood hotshot Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s directorial debut Don Jon’s Addiction, which stars Scarlett Johansson and Julianne Moore. FICTION: SECRETS AND LIE
Klara Mortimer’s mother left when Klara was six, but it’s not something she thinks about much as an adult – until she receives a mysterious key in the post…. The Lies You Told Me, a tense family thriller from British novelist Jessica Ruston, ensnares you from the offset. A book to get lost in on a cold winter’s day.

ART: FAMILY AFFAIR
Chinese artist Zhang Xiaogang takes family photographs as the starting point of his work, translating pixels into painting. The resulting surreal portraits, which explore themes of identity and genealogy, are currently on view at Pace Beijing, China, until February 28. pacegallery.com/Beijing
