07:00 – Wake up bright and early, it may be the last day of London Fashion Week but we have a jam-packed schedule today – lots of exciting shows on the agenda!
07:30 – In celebration of the first show of the morning – Mary Katrantzou – I decide to wear my favorite Mary Katrantzou printed silk shirt dress and team it with a pair of glitter-sprayed Miu Miu wedges.
09:00 – Show time. Mary’s fall collection exceeds all of our expectations. Sculptural silhouettes, exquisite embroidery and playful prints. Divine!
11:00 – Zoom over to the Anya Hindmarch and are all instantly intrigued by the logo-stamped cardboard boxes piled high in the reception room…
Roll up, roll up – it’s the Anya magic show!
Look! On our seats there are cute boxes of Anya ‘Quality Treat’ chocolates – which are said to have inspired her fall collection. Don’t mind if we do…
Just like a candy factory – we see glitter-sprayed totes, metallic carryalls and bejeweled pumps circulate on a fashion conveyor belt. Magic!
Here’s a close up of the fashion conveyor belt (…and some serious arm candy too.)
12:00 – Step on it driver! The Roksanda Illincic show is just about to start…
12:15 – Make it to Roksanda in the nick of time. It all feels very glamorous with the diamond chandeliers!
Collection gets a huge round of applause – we loved the sports-luxe puffa jackets, major trend for fall 2012 (you heard it here first).
13:00 – Hop in black cab to Somerset House for quick lunch and some blogging at delicious courtyard café Fernandez & Wells.
14:00 – On the road again! Back down to South West London for the Meadham Kirchhoff show…
Get distracted by a fabulous Miu Miu bag on arrival.
There’s disco lights, metallic streamers and giant sequin stars on the runway too…Oh my!
Everyone loves a candy treat on their seat…
Spotted on the front row: his and hers studded Christian Louboutin sneakers. Love.
Abba’s ‘Dancing Queen’ plays out for the show finale. Everyone starts clapping and singing. Such fun.
16:00 – Hot young talent Aminaka Wilmont is the last show of the day. Strong and sultry collection –the design duo’s signature prints are more muted and pared-back for fall. Make a mental note to pick up one of the sharp-cut leather jackets next season.
18:00 – Home sweet home for some well-deserved fashion week rest. Next stop, Milan!
